Program Information

The IDA World Congress provides a unique opportunity to experience New York City like never before.  Driven by a new conference format, the planning committee and business improvement districts throughout NYC have designed a program covering Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. Each day begins with a full gathering of all attendees for a series of Master Talks rather than a single keynote speaker. In the afternoon, attendees will select among a variety of options including traditional classroom sessions or visit one of the NYC BIDs for special panel discussions to experience great urbanism first hand. From Yankee Stadium to Coney Island, the World Congress will without a doubt be the greatest urban conference you have ever attended.

In addition to educational workshops, attendees will have opportunities to meet, network, and socialize with peers, thought leaders, and service providers. Receptions will be held on day one and day three in Manhattan and Brooklyn respectively.

Explore the many opportunities to learn, network, and be inspired today:

Master Talks

Each day begins with six to eight thought leaders providing their newest and best ideas for creating great urban places in a 10-15 minute presentation. Collectively, these talks will deliver an inspiring two hour plenary session each morning of the Congress.

Breakout Sessions, Walkshops, and Roundtables: Monday | Tuesday

Attendees may select among a variety of options including traditional classroom sessions, special panel discussions hosted right in a BID's neighborhood, or hit the sidewalk to both learn about and experience great urbanism first hand.
